Torsional vibration

The measurement and analysis of torsional vibrations is of paramount importance in the development of powertrains of all kinds (ICE, hybrid, EV, hydrogen). Our complete solution for torsional vibration analysis in the automotive, motorsport and heavy-duty sectors includes speed sensors, data acquisition and evaluation as well as engineering services. Typical applications include the analysis of clutches, belt systems, chain drives, transmissions and dynamic investigations of drivetrains.

Valve dynamics

The investigation of valve systems with the Rotec measurement and analysis solution has been a proven means of optimizing valve trains for many years. In addition to conventional measurement on cylinder heads that have been dragged, measurement on fired engines in particular offers in-depth analysis options using MR sensor technology and helps with optimization, especially in applications with the highest demands on performance and emissions.

Transmission error (TE)

Analyzing the transmission error of transmissions in a wide range of applications such as classic car and truck transmissions, electric axle drives, reduction and transfer gearboxes as well as planetary gearboxes in the wind energy sector has been a focus of Rotec's measurement technology solution for many years. The high-precision recording of angular positions and the precise analysis of the data through to automated reporting form the basis for investigations in the R&D area as well as for the end-of-line inspection of gear pairs and complete gearboxes.

Continuous monitoring

In addition to classic R&D applications, angle-based speed measurement and evaluation in the order and time range also form the basis for continuous monitoring of components, drive trains and turbines. Rotec monitoring solutions are used for continuous monitoring of steam turbines, as well as for increasing the efficiency of diesel generators in the marine and heavy-duty sectors and for stationary generators. Early detection of critical system conditions enables efficiency increases, reduces operating risks and also forms the basis for predictive maintenance.

Are there options for customizing the measurement systems and software?

The ROTEC RASdelta front end is a versatile modular measurement system that can be individually configured with 8 or 16 measurement cards to meet your specific measurement requirements.

Our RAS software offers you a comprehensive modular system for analyzing rotating components and complex systems. It is an effective tool for machine builders and requires no programming knowledge to carry out measurements or perform evaluations.

ROTEC offers not only speed sensors, signal conditioning, measurement systems (DAQ) and measurement and evaluation software, but also engineering and consulting services.

Our services include the design of measuring points in CAD, the mechanical processing of components, the application and calibration of sensors, the execution of measurement tasks and the evaluation of measurements in accordance with our customers' requirements, including the presentation of the results. The ROTEC ENGINEERING team can also implement sub-projects as part of project support.

Is there training or technical support for commissioning and integrating the measuring systems?

In addition to our annual ROTEC Training Week, which is held in both German and English, we also offer customized training courses for users.
